Son of George B. and Sarah E. McDonald DeLong, he married Laura M. McCoy, was a retired worked for J & L Steel, lived at 1419 Otter Street, Franklin, died in Franklin Hospital of metastatic lung cancer, per death certificate 125514 70, whose informant was his wife. Buried Dec 9 1970.

LeRoy DeLong, 66, of 1419 Otter St, died at 9 pm Sunday in Franklin hospital where he was admitted Dec. 1. Son of George B. and and Sarah E. McDonald DeLong, he was born in Sandycreek Township February 2, 1904.

He spent the greater part of his life in the Franklin area, attended public schools in Sandycreek Township. He worked several years as a foreman at Franklin Plastics (now Johns-Manville), for nine years for the Franklin City Water Department, for a few years at Joy Manufacturing Company, and retired from J & L in Oil City in 1968. He was an ardent sportsman, enjoyed both hunting and fishing.

On Sept. 18, 1929 he married Laura M. McCoy, who survives, with two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Lindsey of Andrews, TX, and Mrs. Richard K. (Edith) Wilson of Reno, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are five brothers and two sisters.

Services will be in Huff Chapel with Rev. R. A. Taylor of the Seventh Street Church of God officiating. Interment will be in the Graham Cemetery.
