Catherine "Cab" Claytor, age 95, of Beaver, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the Raleigh Center in Daniels.

Catherine was born on October 16, 1918, at Ansted, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Hollie and Alice Ferguson Claytor.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Carte, Ruth Gray, Mary Coleman, and Helen Massie, and by a brother, Alvin Claytor. She was also preceded in death by several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include a sister, Virginia Claytor of Beaver, and many nieces and nephews.

She was of the Baptist faith.

The family extends special thanks to the Raleigh Center, especially to Joy.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, January 24, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Bill Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John Sweeney, Denny Burgess, Dakota Robertson, Charlie Ellison, David Phelps, and Al Coleman.
