Wilma M. "Billie" Earles, age 86, died Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
She was born August 7, 1927 in Donnybrook, North Dakota, the daughter of Dan and Bertha (Falk) Anderson. Wilma attended Minot State Teacher's College and earned a teaching certificate. She married Keith Earles on April 12, 1948 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1992.
Prior to coming to Waterloo, Wilma taught in a one room school house in North Dakota. She was a lifelong Yankee fan and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include 2 sons, Timothy (Noreen) Earles of Waterloo and Doug (Cathy) Earles of Jesup; 3 daughters, Sandy (Randy) Yockey and Susan (Brian Davis) Gleason all of Waterloo and Shelly Brooks of Urbandale; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lila Cline of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Cory Yockey; 3 brothers, Ralph Anderson, Gerald Anderson and Frank Falk; and 3 sisters, Harriet Berg, Joyce Nielson and Dorothy Backen.
