1993 Obituary:
Ivy Bishop Harvey, 86, passed away Friday, February 5, 1993 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born September 25, 1906, a daughter of Amos H. and Lucy Smith Bishop. She married Alpheus Harvey August 15, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away January 20, 1976.

She taught school in the Davis County School District for 32 years. Thirty years at the Kaysville Elementary School. She served in many of the LDS Church organizations, a teacher in Primary and Sunday School, MIA presidency, and as a Relief Society counselor and president, also a visiting teacher.

She was a former member of the Credit Committee for the Davis Schools Credit Union and a member of the Kaysville city library board for 36 years. She was a charter member of the Kaysville-Layton Historical Society and also a member of the Utah Historical Society.

She and her husband had done considerable research on Kaysville history and had selected the sites for the original Kaysville historical tours. The past few years she was considered Kaysville historian. She was also on the board of directors for the Layton museum. For many years, her grandchildren raised pumpkins and she helped them sell them from the front lawn of her home.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, James S. Harvey, Malcolm R. Harvey, Hazel H. Parrish, all of Kaysville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd A. Bishop, Kaysville. Preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Clyde, Harold, Hazel and Verna Bishop.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 1993, 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, where friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
