Mr. Streifel died Monday morning at the Mercy Hospital where he had been a patient of three weeks.
Scripture service was Tuesday evening at the St. James Church at Minnewaukan.
The son of Thomas and Genevive Heisler Streifel was born Oct. 17, 1904 in Pierce County, North Dakota. He attended a rural school near Esmond.
On November 21, 1928 he married the former Catherine Grossman. They farmed near Esmond before moving to a farm near Minnewaukan in 1932. In 1961 they purchased the Hardware Store in Minnewuakan and operated it until retiring in 1969.
Mr. Streifel is survived by his wife; seven sons and daughters, Paul of Wood Lake, George of Oberon, Mrs. Floyd (Leona) Sogge, Mrs. Dale (Mavis) Halvorson both of Minnewaukan, Harold of West Fargo, and Mrs. Loren (Helen) Bogan and Mrs. Byron (Carolyn) Butters, both of Minneapolis; 25 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Keller of the Haaland Home in Rugby; and a brother, Rochus Streifel of Esmond. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
The Burke Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
