WASHINGTON TERRACE - Wilbur E. Dodson Sr., 77, of 104 E. 4800 S., died this morning at St. Benedict's Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Dodson was born Aug. 7, 1892, in Glenwood Springs, Garfield County, Colo., a son of John W. and Jeannette Dodson. He was educated in Colorado. In 1917, he was married to Miss Frona Legill in Durango, Colo. They moved to Ogden where he worked for the Utah-Idaho Central Railroad Co. and the Bamberger Electric Railway as a general freight and passenger agent. In 1947 he started working at Hill Air Force, retiring as a warehouseman in 1959. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and former member of Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Legion of Mary. Surviving are his widow; one son and three daughters, Wilbur E. Dodson Jr., Washington Terrace; Mrs. Cliff (Helen) Folkman, Plain City; Mrs. Grant A. (Teddy) Hawkes, Granger; Mrs. Orville (Bette) Webb, LaMirada, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. G. E. (Marie) Schreck, Roy; Mrs. Paul (Frances) Black, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Martha Moore, Ogden. Requiem Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Holy Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary where friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Burial in the Aultorest Memorial Park.
