She was born March 11, 1907, in Hyacinth, Ellis, KS, to Michael and Emma (Younger) Geist

She married Romauld C Pfannenstiel on May 13, 1930 at St Mary's Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Norman, Hutchinson; nine daughters, Elaine Fulkerson, Manhattan, Marlene Bronish and Joan Adams, Commerce City, CO, Wilma Schaffer, Vallejo, CA, Aletha Pfannenstiel and Romelda Pfannenstiel, Denver, Anna Shirley Barnes, Rancho Cardova, CA, Pauletta Gembenski, Phoenix, AZ, and Carolyn Lattner, Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Adam Geist, WaKeeney, Andy L Geist, Burlington, CO, and Bill Geist, Ellis; five sisters, Eva Slaughter, Clara Weber and Frances Graf, Wichita, Christina Augustine, Ellis, and Thresia Stenzel, WaKeeney; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Shirley Ann Pfannenstiel; two sisters Pauline Weber and Lioba Dinkel; and a brother, Richard Geist.

Services were Sept 11 at Our Lady Mother of the Church Catholic Church, Denver; burial in the Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton, CO.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation.
