Funeral services for Owen Brockman, 63, son of the late Susan Jones and James Brockman, were held at the South Campbellsville Baptist Church Monday, July 9, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. C. l. Flannigan and Rev. W. R. Simmone in charge. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Brockman died Saturday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m., enroute to the hospital. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora Holm Brockman; nine children, Abner Brockman of Pontiac, Ill.; Herbert Brockman of Detroit, Mich.; Ray Brockman of Grand Rapids, Mich.; John Edgar Brockman of this city; Tommie Brockman of Route 5; Charles Brockman of Route 4; Mrs. Gilbert Shipp of Route 1; Mrs. Vernon Martin of Campbellsville; and Shelby Lemons of Route 1. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Olie Barnes, Omer Bohannon, Vernon Dooley, Omer Dickens, D. C. Powell, and Howard Bell. Honorary bearers were Sam Smith, Joe Sam Shipp, O. T. Dabney, Albert Holt, Hershel Dabney, and Leonard Barnes.
