Lloyd H. Hopper, 81, Route 6, St. Joseph, Mo., died in a hospital there Sunday. He was born at Forest City, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Hopper. He moved to St. Joseph in 1950 from Springfield, Mo. He was employed by the Burlington Railroad and also as a trainer for race horses for 20 years before retiring in 1968. He was a member of the Forest City Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Douglass Hopper of the home; one son, Gerald Hopper, stationed with the Air Force in Washington, D.C.; five sisters, Edna Schaeffer, Forest City, Cleta Markt, Oregon, Ollie Yoder, Lake Charles, La., Mildred Buckles and Lorene Wilson, Paramount, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Meierhoffer-Fleeman Chapel.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mo.
