Timothy Paul Torok

Timothy Paul Torok went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 5, 2006. Tim served his country proudly in Vietnam as a Lieutenant in the US Marine Corp. He was highly decorated which included a Purple Heart. He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to Paul and Ruth Torok. He spent his life as a proud self-proclaimed Hungarian gypsy. He attended college at Southern Illinois University, where he met and married Rosalie Keith who became his loving wife of 29 years. He practiced and retired from his profession as a medical photographer at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. After retirement he embarked on a new journey as a high school educator at Shekinah Radiance Academy.

He was also an active member of Abundant Life Christian Center of LaMarque. Among Tim’s many passions was the talent of communication, storytelling, entertaining, fishing, music, gypsy Hungarian gourmet cooking. But, foremost in his life was his relationship with his wife, two sons and the Lord. Tim touched the lives of countless people with his warmth, kindness, compassion and love. No one who has ever met him will ever forget him. He left an everlasting impression on our hearts that we will never forget.

Tim is survived by his wife, Rosalie; his sons, Eli and Levi; his sister, Suzanne and his countless friends who are left to fend for themselves, all wondering how we will ever determine which of Tim’s stories were accurate since none of them were ever substantiated.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m., on Monday, May 8, 2006, with a special Timmy “T” time from 7 p.m. -8 p.m. at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Abundant Life Christian Center, followed by a luncheon church fellowship hall located at 601 Delaney Road, Lamarque, Texas 77568
