Benjamin Komar / Borbely / Borbey / Barber was born in August 1875 in Mandok, Szabolcs County, Hungary, the son of Istvan (Stephen) Komar and Elizabeth Makie Komar. After his father's death about 1888, his mother married Andras (Andrew) Borbely later anglicized as "Barber." Before 1888 Ben and his parents immigrated to the United States from Hungary. He met Margaret Susan Hall in Gebo, Wyoming, and they were married 20 January 1913 in Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana. He died of Rocky Mountain spotted fever 28 May 1920 in Gebo, Hot Springs County, Wyoming. Ben and Margaret were parents of two daughters.
