Carnesville - Bertha Wiley, 89, of Highway 51? died Thursday, Jan. 1, 1998.
A native of Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel Ward and Nettie (Payne) Ward. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Willadean Lewallen, Homer; two sons, Carey Wiley, Carnesville, and James Wiley, Homer; two brothers, J. D. Ward, Baldwin, and Thomas Ward, Commerce, nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Nails Creek Baptist Church with the Rev.Frank Sailors officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
