Benton Cornett, age 85, of Rowdy, Kentucky, formerly of Carrie, Kentucky, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Hazard Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 18, 1928 to Marion Cornett and Alice Parks Cornett.

Children - Debbie (Mike) Callahan, Clinton (Martha) Cornett and Randy (Kristie) Cornett

Funeral services for Benton Cornett will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Bill Gambill officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery at Carrie, Kentucky. Friends may call for visitation Monday from 6-9PM.
Benton was the 10th of 10 children born to Marion Cornett and Alice (Parks) Cornett. Marion and Alice were married on Aug 22, 1902 in Knott Co., KY. Their children in birth order were Winnie, Luna, Earl, Lizzie Gertrude, Shirley, Burley, Nancy Jane, Marcus, Grace and Benton Cornett.
Benton married Faye Slone. He next married Louise Saunders. He was married to Anna Mae Sturgill when he died.
