Audie R. Gaines, 76, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Audie was born Jan. 22, 1937, in Cumby to the late Arlie and Alice Gaines. He was a strong man who was a fighter. Audie was always there for his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Johnnie Faye Gaines; parents; and brothers. Survivors: Sons, Johnny Gaines and wife, Robin, Steven Gaines, Rodney Gaines, Brandon Gaines and wife, Kristin; daughter, Rebecca New and husband, Jesse; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Kenneth Gaines and wife, Jeannie, and Cleo Gaines.
