Lucinda was a daughter of Rev. Zenas Adams, a Methodist minister, and his wife Ruth Fellows. She was trained as a teacher in Toronto and Hamilton. On June 4, 1867 in Hamilton, Canada, Lucinda was married to Thomas L. Wilkinson, a son of Rev. John Wilkinson and Mary Roblin. They had children including: Viola V.; Bertha L.; Mary E.; Thomas Alexander.; Charles E.; and Florence Gertrude.
