Art was the son of Hattie Lee Smith and Rev. Silas Monroe Crocker.

He served as a army photographer. He lost his hand but was able to continue his career and contributed to many of our memories with his wonderful gift of photos.
He met and married the love of his life at Ft. Knox, Kentucky where Helen Lois Stevens was working.
Art and Helen had three sons, Steve, Terry and Don.
