His death notice was published in the Citizen Register on 7 May 1938 and says he was 80, a native of Ossining and a resident of Briarcliff and Pleasantville for the past 15 years. He died last night at his home in Pleasantville. Survived by five daughters - Mrs. Milton Dean, Mrs Ralph Davis, Mrs. William Clarke of Ossining, Miss Deborah of Pleasantville, Mrs. Henry Miller of Detroit, a sister Mrs Howard Barnes of Ossining, one son Charles E of White Plains and a brother Everett of Pleasantville. Service Central ME Church Pleasantville. (He was my great grand uncle.)
