Mr. Mangrum died at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday at Lourdes hospital.

He was retired from Dairy Brand Dairy and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Sheila Lee; three sons, Gene Mangrum, Cecil Mangrum and Terry Mangrum; two sisters, Mamie G. Dowdy and Gladys Defew; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavada Mangrum; one daughter, Delores Allen; two brothers; one grandson; and two stepgrandchildren. His parents were Thomas and Della Forth Mangrum.
