GREENVILLE - Gene Truman Mangrum, 71, of Greenville, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 6:23PM at Maple Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Mangrum was born December 9, 1941 in Graves County, KY. He was a roofer and member of Mercer Baptist Church. He was a local business owner with Mangrum Roofing and later general roofing and construction. He was preceded in death by his son, Gene Truman Mangrum, Jr.; sister Delores Allen; parents Raymond and Lavada Mangrum; and two nephews.
Survivors include his sons, Keith Truman (Beth) Mangrum of Puryear, TN and Stephen Wayne Mangrum of Owensboro; grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Mangrum and Lindsey Michelle Soto; great-grandchildren Erin Mangrum and Audrey Lianna Soto; brothers Cecil (Mary) Mangrum of Greenville and Terry (Linda) Mangrum of Benton; sister Shelia (Freddie) Lee of Wingo, KY; eight nieces; and three nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1:00PM at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY, with Rev. Fred Harrison officiating, assisted by Bro. Brent Lee. Burial in Maple Wood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 6:00PM at Brown Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jeff Mangrum, Jason Mangrum, Corey Cecil, Mike English, Lamar Aimerson, and Jeremy Dukes. Tucker Funeral Home, Central City, is in charge of arrangements.
