She was born and raised in Mays Landing and had lived in Galloway since her marriage to the late William H. Ficken.
She was predeceased by her children, William W. Ficken and Trudy Krebs.
Gertrude formerly worked at Pembroke Clothing and Tony Di Paola Clothing, both of Egg Harbor City as a seamstress and at Bally's Hotel and Casino as a Pit Clerk.
She was survived by her children, Gary and Barbara Ficken, Tana and Tom Tracey, Rick Ficken and Randy and Jean Ficken; her brothers, Willis Schuster and Adolph Schuster; her sisters, Lil Carlson, Pauline Commander and Sue Marinelli; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and her many friends.
Funeral Service will be at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City. Interment will follow at Germania Cemetery.
