According to the Directory of the Province of Ontario, 1857:
Elias B. Grey was a Postmaster, Storekeeper, Reeve and Commissioner in Queens Bench.
In 1860, Elias was the Postmaster for the Dundalk, Melancthon, Ontario post office.
