Russell was so very intelligent, gifted, talented and adored by the whole family as a very special, unique person. He was also a very handsome young man. Russell's oldest sister (recently deceased at age 100) has been very helpful in telling family stories, revealing facts and a wealth of genealogical knowledge. She told me all about Russell, her dear brother, and feels his loss still. She has imparted the depth of that tragic loss to me. Giving him up at such an early age was devastating to all of his family. My Mother, Opal Florence Anderson, remembers him as well; she recalled him vividly and quite fondly. He was a victim of influenza/pneumonia. (Information provided by his cousin, Nancy Yankie)
