Dorse D. Schnebly and Miss Estella Barnhart both of Fairview district, were married in this city, Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the the home of Mrs. Hilda England, on North Pearl street. Rev Allen K. Smith officiating. The Dawn extends best wishes.

OBIT:

Stella Barnhart Schnebly, 93, lifetime resident of the Kittitas Valley, died Monday at a local nursing home where she had lived the past three years.

She was born July 9, 1885 in the Fairview District, a daughter of the late Frank C. and Matilda Bailes Barnhart, pioneer settlers of the Kittitas Valley.

Mrs. Schnebly was educated in local schools and following graduation from the teacher training course at Ellensburg Normal School (now Central Washington University) she taught at the rural Denmark, Robinson Canyon, Upper Nanum and Taneum schools. She also taught for the Roslyn School District.

She and Dorsey D. Schnebly were married in 1910 and they farmed in the Fairview District until his death in 1967. She also was preceded in death by a daughter Phyllis Armstrong.

Mrs. Schnebly was a member of the Methodist Church, Kittitas County Farm Bureau, the 4-K Club and had been a 4-H Club leader.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Mullen of Kittitas; five grandchldren; 17 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Schnebly of Ellensburg and Mrs. Max (Ruth) McKenzie of Yakima.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 2 p.m. at Evenson Chapel. The Rev. Ron Jonson will officiate and cremation will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima.
