Joe Kocum Rites to Be Wednesday

Services for Joseph B. Kocum, 87, 1111 Prospect Ave., will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Walter Nabity will officiate, and burial will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.

Visitations will be Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Home for Funerals where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Mr. Kocum died of an apparent heart attack Saturday evening at his home. He was born June 20, 1893, and was a veteran of World War I in which he had served in France. He was employed many years as a telegrapher for the Chicago and North Western Railroad until his retirement in 1965. He and his wife came to Norfolk some years ago.

Mr. Kocum was a member of American Legion Post 16 and VFW Post 1644 in Norfolk.

Surviving are his wife, MIldred; and one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Burkhim of Rio Vista, Calif.
