The Rev. Thomas A. Murphy, 62, of Falls of Rough died Friday [January 13, 1978] at his home. He was born in the St. Joseph community and has served in parishes at St. Stephen Cathedral, St. Joseph & Paul and St. Pius X, all in Owensboro, and St. Ann in Morganfield, St. Jerome of Fancy Farm, Sacred Heart of Hickman, KY, St. Elizabeth of Curdsville and St. Frances de Sales of Paducah. Survivors include 6 brothers, John R., Robertus & Bernard Murphy, all of Owensboro, Murray Murphy of St. Joseph, Christopher Murphy of Elba, KY, and Hubert Murphy of Jackson, AL; and a sister, Sister Teresa Marie of Bardstown. Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Stephen Cathedral. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation from noon - 8 p.m. Sunday at Delbert J. Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation after 9 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Cathedral.
