Andrew Pagano, 94, of Roseto, passed away Tuesday evening, March 29 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. Andrews wife of 60 years, Anna (Caracio) Pagano, predeceased in in October 1998. Andy retired as a district manager for Home Life Insurance Company of America in 1976. He was with Home Lifes Easton office for 40 years. He completed the life underwriters training course at Moravian College, Bethlehem and Home Lifes management course in Lakeville, Conn. He won the companys District Citation in 1960 and its Presidents Cup honors three times. He was Roseto Borough treasurer for a term, served on the committee for the Boy Scouts of American and was on the original committee for the Roseto Borough Christmas Lights. He was an associate captain of St. Joseph-in-the-hills Retreat, Mavevern, for 50 years and president of the Lehigh Valley Antique Automobile Club of America in 1977, serving eight years on the board of directors. Andy was a member of the National Antique Automobile Club, Lehigh Valley Region and the Willys Overland Knight International Club. He regularly sold antique car parts in area flea markets and at the annual Hershey Automobile Show. Andy was one of ten children born to Luigi and Filomena (Confalone) Pagano in Roseto. In 1926, he quit school to help support his family. He worked for the Roseto Silk Mill and Kayser Hosierys Bangor and Brooklyn plants. He also worked for the Mount Holly, N.J., Hosiery Mill and took a two-year course in automobile mechanics for the International Correspondence School, Scranton. Survivors: Daughter, Filomena Hamilton and her husband, Neil, of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Dr. Louis A. Pagano and his wife, Ellen, of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Patricia Jackson and her husband, Dr. James, of Huntington Beach, Calif., Jane Rodriquez and her husband, Tony, of Cypress, Calif., Quinn Pagano Kasarda of Bethlehem and Dr. Andrew Pagano and his wife, Dr. Season Pagano of Bethlehem; great-grandchildren, Emily Kasarda, Connor Kasarda, Julia Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Josiah Rodriguez and Anna Rodriguez; sisters, Lucy DeFrank of Roseto, Maggie Reimer of Westlake Village, Calif., Grace Diorio of Bangor, Rose Martino of Roseto and Mamie Basso of Bangor; brothers, Anthony of Palmerton and Louis of Allentown. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Kellow of Bangor and Antoinette Menecola of Roseto.
