Lucy DeFrank, 93, of Roseto, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010 in Slate Belt Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Washington Township, PA. Born: in Roseto, a daughter of the late Luigi and Filomena Confalone Pagano. Personal: Her beloved husbands, Joseph DeThomas and Frank "Lefty" DeFrank both died earlier. Lucy worked as a seamstress for many years retiring from Keystone Fashions of Roseto. She was very active in fund raising for the formation of Pius X High School and its band. Memberships: She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church of Roseto and the Ladies Sodality of the church. She was also a member of UNITE. Survivors: two sons, Arthur L. and his wife Vicki DeThomas of Saxonburg, PA, and Dr. Frank N. and his wife Linda DeFrank of Stroudsburg; three sisters, Menica Reimer of CA, Rose Martino of Roseto and Mamie Basso of Bangor; two brothers, Anthony Pagano of Palmerton and Louis Pagano of Allentown; two grandchildren, Angela Green of Whitehall and Nicholas DeFrank of Stroudsburg; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Marie Green and Anthony A. DeFrank. She was predeceased by sisters, Antoinette Menecola, Mary Kellow and Grace Diorio and a brother Andrew Pagano. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 7 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Third & Garibaldi Avenues, Roseto. Call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Fiore Funeral Home, 230 Market St., Bangor. Entombment will be in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in the New Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Roseto. Memorials: Donations may be offered in Lucy's name to either Diakon Hospice of St. John, 416 Main St., Suite D, Honesdale, PA 18431 or Pius X High School, 560 third Ave., Bangor, PA 18013.
