Tessie June Adams passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas. She was born September 08, 1918 to Clyde and Cora (Luna) Looney in Gainsville, Missouri.

Tessie was a homemaker, substitute teacher and cook for the St. Joe school, and worked for Levi Strauss and Harrison Furniture. She was a member of the Tomahawk Baptist Church in St. Joe.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Adams, son: Gary Phillips, parents Clyde and Cora Looney, brothers: Ira Looney, Harley Looney, Bonnie Looney, Benny Looney, Jim Looney and sister; Gertie Hicks.

She is survived by sons: Bobby Phillips, John Adams, George Adams, and Terry Adams all of St. Joe, Arkansas and Lynn Adams of Casa Grande, Arizona, daughters: Ginger Maples and Joyce Ham both of St. Joe, Arkansas, sisters: Doris Clark of Columbia, Missouri, and Earline Crisp of Gainsville, Missouri, brother; Marvin Looney of Pontaic, Missouri, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 17, 2008 at the St. Joe Baptist Church with Joe Reed officiating.
