She married Horace Greeley Crisp, whom she met at a baseball game in Big Flat, AR, on October 14, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1966.
Earlene worked and retired from Baxter Healthcare in Moutain Home, AR. She enjoyed gardening, piecing quilts, golfing, and anything involving her grandkids, especially watching them play sports. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Gainesville.
She is survived by four grandchildren: Dana Crisp and wife Marsha, Monty Crisp and wife Jana, Lane Crisp and fiancé Connie Camden, Shannan McGee and husband Keith all of Gainesville; one brother Marvin Looney of Pontiac, MO; eleven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her mom and dad; one son Darrell Crisp; one great grandson Jaxon Crisp; five brothers: Ira, Harley, Bennie, Bonnie and Jim; and three sisters Gertie Hickey, Tessie Adams, and Doris Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Jimmy Kyle officiating. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to “The Earlene Crisp Memorial Fund” c/o Century Bank of the Ozarks, PO Box 68, Gainesville, MO 65655. Funds collected will be used to erect a monument at the Gainesville Ball Park in her memory.
