The Rev. Richard C. Stinnett, 93, of Maryville, died Friday at Fort Sanders Park West Medical Center.

Rev. Stinnett had served as pastor of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Maryville as well as churches in Greeneville, Knoxville, Loudon, Newport, Erwin, Reedtown, and in Ponca City, Okla.

He was the widower of Bessie Irene Rhyne Stinnett.

Survivors include his sons: Daniel Stinnett Sr. of Phoenix, Ariz., Joe Michael Stinnett Sr. of Collierville, and Ronald Richard Stinnett of Sun Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother: Marshall Austin Stinnett of Maryville; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece: Linda Stinnett Lane of Maryville; a sister-in-law: Margaret Whitehead Rhyne; and several cousins.

The family received friends from 1-3 Sunday afternoon at Lone Oak Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the church with interment in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Rick Hutchinson officiated.
