Wenzel Sukawaty, 87, of St. Mary Home, Manitowoc died Wednesday afternoon in St. Mary Home.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. John M. Haen will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Sukawaty was born May 26, 1891, in Wayne, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Catherine Biesbear Sukawaty. He grew up and was educated in Wayne, moving to Manitowoc County in 1930, then to the City of Manitowoc in 1974. Mr. Sukawaty was a retired dairy farmer. He married Agnes Meixensperger Nov. 11, 1919, in St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa, Wis. She preceded him in death Aug. 10, 1973.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Sylvester and Eleanore Sukawty of Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Elmer Raplinger of Campbellsport, Wis., Mary Jane and Joseph King of Route 2, Manitowoc, and Lucille and Ned Sells of New London, Wis.; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and until the time of services on Saturday.
