The manifest for the ship Westphalia is incorrect; it lists their children as Marie (8), Jan (2) and Franz (22). Marie died in Bohemia, so it should have read Jan (8) and Frank (3). They boarded the ship in Hamburg and probably were able to take the train directly to Davenport.
The information on their arrival is found in Volume 5 of New York Arrivals 1870-1800.
