Frank and Dora Gunn were living on a farm near Oxford when their firstborn son, Lloyd, died. It is unknown if his death influenced their decision, but a few weeks later, Frank, Dora and their two daughters, Nona and Ruby left Mississippi and established their home in Bell County, Texas.
