Mrs. Bernice Alcorn
ARCOLA, Ill. -- Mrs. Bernice Alcorn, 74, of Arcola died at 2:30 p.m. Monday in her home of an apparent stroke.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, with Rev. Robert Keiser officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Alcorn was born May 30, 1897, south of Arcola, the daughter of Isaac and Dilla V[B]arricklow Younger. She married Dale Alcorn Dec. 23, 1917, in Arcola.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Dale J. of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret L. Sanders of Arthur and Mrs. Paulina Hunt of Arcola; one sister, Mrs. Alta Walls of Arcola; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Alcorn, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Arcola, was worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star in 1964 and 1965. She was a member of OES since 1931.
