Mrs David Hammill, aged 59 years, died early Saturday morning at her home in Adrian after a long illiness. Mrs Hammill, was formerly Mary E. Lanning, the daugther of the late John and Effie Aten Lanning and was born May 8, 1885 in franklin township, where she spent her entire life until moving to Adrian two years ago
She leaves her husband and three sons John L. of Onsted, Donald and LeRoy of Adrian, two brothers Harold Lanning of Adrian and Bert Lanning of Tecumseh, and four grandchildren. A daughter Marian died 11 years ago.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Collins Funeral Home. Rev. Edward Escolme officated and burial was in Tipton cemetery.
