Oto, Iowa - Earl Dewey Tryon, 80, of rural Oto died Friday at his residence after an apparent heart attack.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m Tuesday in the United Church of Christ. The Rev. Robert D. Pike will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Walter Home in Anthon.
Mr. Tryon was born Feb. 1, 1898 at Blencoe and lived his childhood there. The family moved to Burt County, Neb., where he attended rural school and high school. He later farmed west of Oto. He married Mary "May" Kennedy on Nov. 27, 1919 at Sioux City.
He was a member of the United Church of Christ.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Orrin of South Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. William (Phyllis) Eubank of Quimby; a sister, Mrs. Mary Miller of Long Beach, Wash.; six grandchildren and three great-granddaughters
