ARTHUR TRYON DIED OF SUDDEN ILLNESS

Arthur Tryon, well known rancher of the country south of Flagler,
passed away quite suddenly Saturday at his home there. Although
he had been in ill health for some months, the news of his passing
came as a shock to local people.

The following obituary was sent to the news by Mrs. Tryon:
Arthur Harrison Tryon was born January 6, 1889 at Blencoe, Iowa
and passed away at his home north of Wild Horse, Colorado, June 26, 1943,
at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 20 days.

At the age of 16 years, he left Iowa and located at Lyons, Nebraska
where he engaged in farming with five brothers. On December 18, 1912
he was married to Addie M. Francis. To this union two sons were born,
Merwyn A. of Pueblo, Colo. and Hyle F., now with the United States Marine
Corps in the Southwest Pacific.

In 1922 the family moved to a farm north of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado
and later, in 1931, located north of Wild Horse, Colo. where he engaged in
ranching until the date of his death.

Although Mr. Tryon had been in failing health for several months, he was
always cheerful and never complained He was a loving husband and father
and will be missed by his family and friends.

Those left to mourn his early passing are his wife, Addie M. Tryon, two sons,
Merwyn A. and Hyle F., and one granddaughter, Carlene Tryon of Pueblo, Colo.,
and five brothers, Charley of Lyons, Nebr., James of Long Beach, Wash., John
and Fred of Rogers, Ark., Earl of Onawa, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Mary Miller of
Long Beach. Wash.

The funeral will be held at Kit Carson, Colo., on Thursday morning at 9:30 o’clock
at the Methodist church, with burial at Pueblo, Colo.
