Funeral services for Margaret Agnes "Margie" Amyx, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2013, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Amyx died at 11:15 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at her home.
She was born February 23, 1931, in Howell County, Missouri, to John Lafayette Harris and Bessie Agnes Huddleston Harris. She attended Thomasville High School and on February 17, 1949, was married at West Plains, Missouri, to James Lee Amyx, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1998. Mrs. Amyx was a member of Elk Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Lee Bartlett and Cathey Dianne Amyx, both of West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Christopher James Bartlett, wife, Jenny, Jason Lee Bartlett and Matthew Sigel Evans; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler James Lee Acklin, Alex James Lee Bartlett, Alivia Grace Acklin, Hannah Faith Acklin, Owen Wayne Bartlett, Dylan Bartlett and Cheyann Macey Reese Bartlett; one brother, John Harris, wife, Dot, West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Norma Cooper, Caulfield, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one granddaughter, Jamie Lee Acklin and five brothers and sisters, precede her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elk Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center or Elk Creek Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home
