Thomas was a son of James McMonigle & Osse Jacobs.
Thomas first married Matilda Applegate (1813-1846) on January 9, 1830 in Pennsylvania. Marriage location in Pennsylvania not determined. They had eight identified children.
He then married Indiana Applegate (1807-1849) on March 4, 1847 in Harrison County, Indiana. They had two identified children.
He then married Sarah Adlin Littell (1826-1878) on October 16, 1856 in Harrison County, Indiana. They had five identified children.
One of his grandsons reported in writing that Union Chapel Cemetery as Thomas' burial location. This can not be confirmed from any existing cemetery records. No visible grave marker exists.
Thomas' brief death notice reports he was a "pioneer" of Harrison County. However, based on best available information, Thomas did not arrive in Harrison County, Indiana until about 1842, several years after his brother, Daniel, and his sister, Sarah Jacobs.
A WPA death index reports Thomas' mother as "Mollie Jacobs." Research indicates her name to be "Osse Jacobs." "Mollie" may be a nickname.
