Born July 3, 1935 in Floyd County, he was the son of the late Irvin Grace Hedge and Ruby Dickerson Hedge.
He is also preceded in death by three half brothers, Jeff, Alvin and Daniel Hedge, and one half-sister, Hilda Brown.
Cecil was a retired employee of the Lynchburg Foundry, Radford with over 32 years of service. He attended the Heritage Church in Dublin.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Joyce Honaker Hedge, Pulaski; daughters and sons-in law, Sherry and Tim Cox, Hiwassee and Lis% and Russ Miller, Hiwassee; son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Teresa Hedge, Snowville; grandchildren, Ashley Yvonne Cox, Austin Dewitt Cox, Hunter Shae Miller and Jairus Chase Miller; a step-grandson, Jake Miller; brothers, Frank Edward Hedge, Pulaski and Richard Gene Hedge, Pulaski; a sister, Helen Hedge Biggs, Pulaski; a half-sister, Mable Hedge McPeak, Hiwassee and a half brother, Jesse Hedge, Radford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Heritage Church, Dublin with Pastor Mike Brummitt and Pastor Gordon Shinn officiating; Interment nwill follow at the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.jm. at the Heritage Church, Dublin. The family will be meeting at the home of Tim and Sherry Cox, 6892 Bleak Ridge Road, Hiwassee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated in memory to the Heritage Church Children's Church, Cleveland Boulevard,, P.O. Box 1565, Dublin, VA 24084. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements.
