Mrs. George Rockwell.
Mrs. George Rockwell, an old and highly esteemed resident of this city, died at 11 o'clock last night at the family home, 602 East Chicago street, after an illness of a year's duration. Dropsy was the cause of death. The deceased's maiden name was Catherine Pope, and she was born 72 years ago, the greater part of her life having been spent in this city. Surviving her, besides the husband, is one son, Wallace Rockwell, of Chicago, and one daughter, Mrs. Minnie King, of Plymouth. The latter with her daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Kring, of Plymouth, was called here by Mrs. Rockwell's illness. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Godfrey Ender, of Hammond.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the late home, conducted by Rev. G.O. Carpenter of the Methodist church. Interment will be in Graceland cemetery-Valaraiso Vidette
