Kathryn Gail Weddle
May 23, 1949 - February 10, 2011
Kathryn Gail Weddle, 61, passed unexpectedly Thursday, February 10, 2011. Kathryn was the daughter of the late Marscella and Addie Benton. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Phoebe Jean Clemmons. Mrs. Weddle is survived by her loving husband of 20 years; Martin Carter Weddle, two daughters; Dawn Farrow and husband Michael, and Fallon Clemmons, four brothers; Martin L., Conrad, Michael, and Kenneth Benton, three sisters; Nettie Jane Taylor, Marjorie Wolfe, Cheryl Hollis, and five grandchildren; Kayle, Nathan, Amber, and Taylor Willetts, and Michael Farrow.
Mrs. Weddle was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church. She greatly enjoyed music, especially playing the piano, and loved to make people laugh. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathyrn, will be greatly missed an always lovingly remembered.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 Pm, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Coble Ward-Smith Oleander Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, also at Oleander Chapel, with interment to follow at New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Winnabow, NC. In lieu of flowers, Kathyrne had requested donations be made to the Shelter for Battered, Homeless and Hungry Families.
