The funeral services of the late John Dilley were held at the Ridott church yesterday afternoon. Among the Freeporters in attendance were: Adam Miller, M, . Bangassr, George Burkhart, Frank Steffen and Fred Kuehner.

JOHN Dilley, AN OLD RESIDENT IS NO MORE
John Dilley, of Silver Creek, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the residence of Joseph Lamm. The deceased was one of the early settlers in this county. During his life time he was an honest man, a just friend, a kind neighbor and an upright citizen, and his death is regretted by all of his acquaintances. The deceased was a native of Germany and came to this country in 1853, settling in Silver Creek on a farm. He was 88 years old last September. Mrs. Dilley died on May 9, 1890. The children who are left to mourn the loss of their father are: John Dilley, Ridott; Mrs. Adam Miller, Freeport; and Mrs. Joseph Lamm, of Silver Creek. The late Caroline Burkart of this city, was a daughter. He leaves twenty grand and eight great-grandchildren. The relatives, in their sorrow, have the sympathy of the community. The funeral will take plce from the Ridott church Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock.
