Jan was born to William H. and Lucie Marie (Helton) Winters on November 21, 1954 in Levittown, New York. She married Alan Alderman on July 28, 1984 in Georgetown, Texas. Jan worked in the Accounting Department for a Clinical Pathology Laboratory, in Austin, Texas until her retirement in August of 2012. She was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed being of service to others. She devoted her time and mentorship as an Assistant Coach with the Eastview High School Bowling Team. Her passion for life and her caring heart will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents; brother Michael James Winters; and brother-in-law Albert Dagar.

She is survived by her husband Alan Alderman of Round Rock, Texas; sons: Christopher Alderman and wife Amy of Round Rock, and Nathan Alderman and wife Beth of Bath, New York; grandson John Arthur Alderman of Bath, New York; brother George Winters and wife Carolyn of Georgetown, Texas; sisters: Donna Dagar of Austin, Texas, Pam Crerend of Georgetown, Texas, Judy Moore and husband Jack of Leander, Texas, and Cindy Parker of Georgetown, Texas; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who will all miss her.
