The Reverend William Green Gallaher and Sarah Kautz were married March 12, 1833, in Cincinnati, Ohio. They moved shortly thereafter to Morgan County, IL. William Green Gallaher was a Presbyterian minister. William and Sarah were parents to ten children, one of whom died as a newborn. The family lived in or near Jacksonville, IL, and they and their children were buried in a large family plot in Diamond Grove Cemetery there.
