He was born in Lowell, the son of the late Fred E and Mary P Harran Taylor. Mr Taylor was a member of the Sacred Heart parish for many years prior to moving to his present address.
He was a graduate of the Butler School and Howe High School in and was a member of the Lowell Lodge of Elks and Johns Manville Quarter Century Club. He was employed by the Johns Manville Company.
Surviving him is his wife the former Helena A Ennion, four daughters Mrs. John P. (Helene) Clarke, Miss Brenda M Taylor, Mrs. Bryon (Mary) LeMay and Mrs. Michael (Joanne) Talty all of Lowell. A brother Frederick Taylor of Lowell; three sisters Mrs. Mary Bell of Dracut Mrs. James (Virginia) McNally of Lowell and Mrs. Joseph (Alma) of Chelmsford, also seven grandchildren.
