Graveside services for Mina Marie Allen of Grass Valley will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City. Father James Sigler of Emmanuel Episcopal Church will officiate the services.

Ms. Allen died Thursday, Aug. 4, in Grass Valley. She was 73.

She was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Stuart, Neb., to Louis and Lois Bartlett. She graduated from Yuba City High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Gold Flat Fire Department Womens Auxiliary, Grass Valley Little League, and the Melodaires musical group. She was also a volunteer at Grass Valley schools. She enjoyed music.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Lee; son, Clayton; son and daughter-in-law, John and Kim ; grandson, Joshua; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Rebecca and Sergey; sisters Doris Jean, Marilyn,and Carolyn; brothers Vern, and Amos; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Bartlett in 1970; mother, Lois Bartlett in 1995; and sister, Bonnie Castanada in 1996.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
