Alivina Barbara Stahlecker was born near Naper, Nebraska. She moved to Canada with her parents where she met and married Ray McBryan. They had 2 children: Margaret and Raymond. 3 grandchildren, Daniel, Timothy McBryan and Sandy Edmonds.
Alvina returned to Naper for a few years where she and husband Dan Herrmann operated a cafe. They then moved to Terrace, BC Canada where Alvina lost her battle with cancer.
She is buried in the Kitsumgallum Cemetery in Terrace, BC Canada.
