Born: François was born in Île-Dupas, Berthier Co., Québec on September 9, 1781, the son of Albert Farly and Marie Josephe Dezery.  He was baptized as "Charles François Farly" on the following day in the parish of Ste-Geneviève-de-Berthier, in Berthier (now Berthierville), Berthier Co.  His godparents were François Amable Langis and Magdeleine Bouchard, wife of Joseph Leurope.  [Drouin B, Berthierville 1777-1785

Married: On February 22, 1802 in the parish of St-Joseph in Maskinongé, Maskinongé Co., Québec, François Amable Farly married Elizabeth Sicard, daughter of Amable Sicard and Antoinette Marchand. Elizabeth was born in Maskinongé on June 6, 1782 and baptized the same day in the parish of St-Joseph in Maskinongé. "Elizabeth Sicard de Carufel" died in St-Simon, Bagot Co., on February 6, 1862 at the age of "80" and was buried in the cemetery of the Parish of St-Simon on the 8th.  François died on June 30, 1863 in St-Simon, Bagot Co., Québec. He was buried in the cemetery of the parish of St-Simon on July 2, 1863.
