Wendell Arnold Northcott was born in 1929 just north of the Lou Community in Dawson County. He was the son of Richard Odis and Georgia Oma Shahan Northcott. He had two brothers, Odis Martin and Robert Clayton Northcott. He had two sisters, Oma Dee Northcott Phillips and Georgia Christine Northcott. Georgia Christine died before she was 2 years old and is buried in the Lamesa Cemetery. Richard Odis and Georgia Oma, Wendell Arnold's parents, are buried in the Lamesa Memorial Park Cemetery. Wendell Arnold died just two months before he was two years old. He is buried in the Pride Cemetery in the northwest corner next to Walter A. Jayroe as told to me by Oma Dee, his older sister.
